Video Copilot is M1 ready!
Just when I think that Video Copilot may be Irish goodbye-ing us, they drop a little update just to remind us they’re still here.
In a brief but welcome post on their website, the Video Copilot team announced that their paid and free plugins have been updated to be Apple M1 compatible.
Despite any updates on the teased Nebula 3D plugin, which was going to give us volumetric rendering in After Effects, it’s nice to know that Video Copilot is still supporting the community by keeping the essentials running.
If you are a PC user or your just not a gear head, Apple released their proprietary M1 chip in 2020. Apple designed the chip to further their engineering goals - do more with less. Their benchmarks put the M1 at 3 times faster than comparable chips.
The M1 is designed specifically for the Mac experience. It includes built in GPU, which can handle a complex 3D rendering workflow.
I recently dropped a tutorial using both Saber and Color Vibrance from Video Copilot. So, if you’re on an Apple M1 chip, you can follow the tutorial faster.
I think that’s how math works.
